The problem with Mambo community and with any other open source community which works with Content Management Systems is that it consists of tech guys mainly. Tech problems of no doubt have prime priority but once they are solved mere users wants their sites not only work good but look as well. This is where the problem of good and quality design appears.
Tech guys are good at tech issues but not design. Good designers as a rule are rather suspicious with Open Source Project… Ok, maybe they don’t. But they are really slow when it needs good design for free. And this is where we can understand them if you don’t have enthusiasm enough you’d better not enter Open Source Projects of any kind.
